Wushu federation opts for intensive training ahead of SEA Games

The Lao Wushu Federation plans to put the nation’s best kung fu fighters in various categories through a rigorous training camp in October ahead of the 30th SEA Games in the Philippines in November. Come October, the wushu federation’s target is to select seven men and five women who will be prepared by a Chinese professional coach before departure for the 30th SEA Games. Lao Wushu Federation Secretary Mr Sitha Yathotou outlined the pragmatic reasons for opting for the short training course. “From this month up to September, we simply don’t have the budget to support the wushu fighters in regular training for the games,” he said. … More >>>
